Aggravated Assault; one count of Certain Bullets Prohibited; four counts of Terroristic Threats; eight counts of Simple Assault; one count of Resisting Arrest or Other Law Enforcement; six counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person graded; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
According to the criminal complaint affidavit of probable cause filed by Wayne County Detective Bendersky and Wayne County Sheriff Sergeant Corazzi, on or about June 20, 2024, Alex A. Kille plead guilty in the Wayne County Court of Common Pleas to one count of terroristic threats. He was sentenced to undergo incarceration in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than six months nor more than twenty-three and one half months. On February 5, 2026, Kille was released from the Wayne County Correctional Facility and placed on parole with the Wayne County Adult Probation Office.
Part of Kille’s sentence was that he was to “Submit to random drug and alcohol testing”. Part of Kille’s “General Conditions Governing Probation, Parole & ARD Supervision” state that “You shall refrain from possessing any firearms . . . at your residence.” Kille failed to appear for a mandated urine test and advised his parole officer that he was not going to appear.
On or about July 2 ,2026, a parole violation hearing was scheduled for Kille’s failure to appear for mandated drug testing. A bench warrant was issued by Wayne County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Edwards for Kille for failure to appear for court. Kille then posted on Facebook about the bench warrant by sharing the Facebook post from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office stating that he was wanted and also made comments about the bench warrant.
On July 7, 2026, at approximately 0820 hours, four Wayne County Sheriff Deputies responded to Kille’s residence to serve the bench warrant. At approximately 0857 hours, contact was finally made with Kille’s father and mother at the front door. Kille’s parents attempted to have Kille exit the residence, but he refused. Kille could be heard from inside the bedroom saying “No.” Kille’s mother then stated “Alex, come on, they’re gonna kick the door down” and Kille replied “They’ll get shot!”
Upon hearing that statement, the deputy kicked the bedroom door open and visually cleared the left-hand side of the bedroom from the doorway. Another deputy attempted to clear the right-hand side of the bedroom from the doorway and observed Kille in the far right-hand corner of the bedroom standing behind a miniature refrigerator that was at shoulder level. Kille had an AR-15 style rifle resting on the refrigerator pointed at the direction of all of the deputies. Deputies gave verbal command for Kille to put the gun down and to come out with his hands up. Deputies were ultimately able to take Kille into custody and secure the rifle. The AR-15 style rifle was seized and found to be loaded with suspected armor-piercing ammunition with one round in the chamber. The rifle also appeared to be capable of firing fully automatic.
The deputies requested assistance from the Wayne County Detectives, who obtained a search warrant for Kille’s residence and vehicle. During the search of Kille’s bedroom, a loaded semi-automatic shotgun with a fully loaded magazine was recovered directly where Kille had been standing. Also recovered was a loaded 8mm rifle with a fully loaded magazine and a Glock 9mm pistol. Multiple loaded shotgun and rifle magazines were also recovered along with numerous rounds of .45 caliber ammunition. Several smoking pipes with marijuana residue, cigarette rolling papers and a grinder with marijuana residue were recovered.
Kille was remanded to the Wayne County Correctional Facility based on the bench warrant.
On July 8, 2026, a criminal complaint and affidavit of probable cause was filed charging Kille. A Preliminary Arraignment was held for Kille by Magisterial District Judge Dunsinger. Bail was set at $5,000,000.00 and he was remanded back to the Wayne County Correctional Facility. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 15, 2026 at 9:00 am at the Wayne County Courthouse for central court.
Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell stated “This incident goes to show the dangers that our men and women of law enforcement face as part of their daily jobs. A seemingly simple incident can turn deadly in a matter of seconds. Thankfully, in this incident, no one was injured or killed. Our office will hold those accountable that assault, or attempt to assault, our brave men and women law enforcement officers to the fullest extent of the law.”
*The filing of criminal charges is not evidence of guilt but simply a description of the charge made by the Commonwealth against a defendant. A charged Defendant is presumed innocent until a jury returns a unanimous finding that the Commonwealth has proven the defendant’s guilt beyond a reasonable doubt or until the defendant enters a guilty plea to the charges.
