HONESDALE, PA- August 15, 2019

ALEXANDER DEGROAT, age 24 of Hawley, PA was placed in the Intermediate Punishment Program for a period of 6 months for one count of DUI: Controlled Substance/Combine Alcohol (M). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution and pay a fine in the amount of $1,000.00. Be placed on House Arrest with Electronic Monitoring through the SCRAM program for a period of 72 hours, participate in and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment, and complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program. The incident occurred on June 8, 2018 in Canaan Township, Wayne County. His Blood test revealed a BAC of .146% plus Marijuana.

JACOB FLIS, age 27 of West Pittston, PA was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 5 days nor more than 6 months for one count of Resisting Arrest (M2) and one count of DUI (M). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay a fine in the amount of $600.00, and pay restitution in the amount of $250.00. MICHAEL GREINER, age 36 of Lake Ariel, PA was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 1 month nor more than 18 months for one count of Simple Assault (M2). SHANE KNECHT, age 27 of Gouldsboro, PA was sentenced to the State Correctional Institution for a period of not less than 16 months nor more than 84 months consecutive to the Wayne County Information.
