Arrest of Nelson A. Corey, 70, of Clinton Township, Wayne County, PA

Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell today announced the arrest of Nelson A. Corey, 70, of Clinton Township, Wayne County, PA. Corey was charged with a variety of counts of Dissemination and Possession of Child Pornography, graded from Felonies of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Degrees. According to the police criminal complaint affidavit of probable cause filed by Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Gabriel Paduck, task force agencies received information from undercover investigators who seek illegal files of child abuse material being traded online

.

On August 11, 2021, Pennsylvania State Police executed a search warrant on a residence for the child abuse investigation. The residence is located on Belmont Turnpike, Clinton Township, Wayne County. The defendant’s device was seized for a forensic examination. The forensic examination showed the defendant to be in possession of child abuse material. The defendant was criminally charged with the possession and dissemination of Sexual Abuse of Children.

A preliminary arraignment was held by the Honorable District Judge Linus Myers and the defendant was remanded to Wayne County prison on $75,000 cash bail. A central court appearance will be set for the next 7 to 10 business days.
